ABOUT US

The Pleasanton Heritage Association is dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of Pleasanton's heritage buildings and neighborhoods in order to protect the historic character of the city and the quality of life of its residents.

The Pleasanton Heritage Association is a community-based organization created to:

  • Identify opportunities for preservation and enhancement of Pleasanton's heritage buildings, landmarks and natural resources (tree, parks, landscapes).

  • Provide input to property owners, city officials, builders and the public about issues impacting the preservation of Pleasanton's historic character and resources and the quality of life of its residents.

  • Encourage new construction projects and appropriate remodels that embrace high quality, historically-themed architecture thus expanding Pleasanton's core of heritage buildings and neighborhoods.

  • Work with the City of Pleasanton to create and maintain an inventory of significant heritage buildings and neighborhood features.

  • Serve as a resource for information about preserving, remodeling and restoring heritage buildings.

  • Review proposals for the demolition of heritage buildings, landmarks and natural resources (trees, parks, landscapes).

  • Work with the City of Pleasanton to ease traffic circulation problems within heritage neighborhoods.
